The Newham Community, in association with the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group, is proud to announce the inaugural Newham Community Sustainability Expo.
With a program of eight major speakers, heaps of practical demonstrations, and a wide range of informative displays across two convenient locations in the heart of Newham, the Expo is an all-day event that we expect more than 750 people to attend.
Featuring The 20km Lunch - a delicious menu prepared from top quality produce sourced within 20km of the town - the Expo will be formally opened by the Victorian Commissioner for Sustainability, Dr. Kate Auty.
A number of informed speakers (on matters such as energy efficiency, permaculture, water sources and use, etc) have been secured. These seminars will take place mostly in the newly remodelled Newham Mechanics Institute Hall, and also in the school.
At the nearby newly rebuilt Newham Primary School, exhibitor displays of relevant products and services will be set up, both under cover and in the open air.
